What does it actually look like when a community college professor uses AI as a daily teaching tool — not as a gimmick, but as a genuine workflow partner? In this session, I'll share how I've integrated AI tools into three core areas of my work: course design, Canvas development, and professional productivity.

I'll walk through real examples from my online business courses at Central Oregon Community College — strategies designed to be replicable at any institution, regardless of LMS or AI tool. Examples include AI-generated HTML course pages, discussion board scaffolding, and syllabus design — all built to WCAG accessibility standards and deployed directly in Canvas.

I'll also share how AI helped scaffold a ten-week business plan development project — a milestone-by-milestone framework demonstrating how AI can support complex instructional design, not just individual tasks. Finally, I'll show how AI supports my broader professional workflow: drafting communications, structuring curriculum, and reducing the cognitive overhead of course management.

Attendees will leave with practical, replicable strategies — no coding background required. Whether you're curious about AI or already experimenting, this session offers an honest, practitioner-level look at what's working, what's not, and what's worth your time.
